Misty Percifield

For more than a decade, Misty Percifield has called Stratford home, where she and her husband have lived for the past 12 years. A practicing attorney with a background in defense litigation, she brings valuable expertise in reading and analyzing statutory language – skills that are directly applicable to the complex work of Stratford’s Zoning Commission. Her professional career includes trying multiple cases in Connecticut Superior Courts, as well as extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts. She is also well-versed in mediation and negotiation, ensuring that diverse perspectives can be brought together toward fair, workable outcomes.

 

She is running now because she wants to contribute her legal expertise and collaborative approach to shaping Stratford’s future. She believes that fair, thoughtful, and transparent zoning decisions are key to protecting neighborhoods while supporting responsible growth.

Outside of her professional and civic work, she is an avid hiker with a personal goal: completing all of Connecticut’s blue-blazed trails alongside her loyal hiking companion, a mini schnauzer named Oswald.
