I was born and raised in Stratford to a wonderful Dad who worked at Sikorsky for an astounding 57 years and an amazing Mom who taught me about the importance of being involved and aware at a young age.

I have seen this great town change over the years, not always for the better. Hindsight is always 20/20, but we need to learn from past successes as well as mistakes.

Over the last nearly 15 years, I have been active in trying to help my town move in the right direction. My main focus has been on trying to reopen the Shakespeare Theatre and saving our WPCA waste treatment plant from being given away.

I have written letters, spoken at public hearings and worked to get others involved and aware. The biggest compliment I have received in this time is that I always stick to the facts and don't let my emotions get the best of me.

I was appointed as an alternate to the Zoning Commission in January, 2016. While the learning process continues, I rather quickly grasped the need for a commissioner to have that ability to only deal with facts. When we hear a case, we cannot go in with any preconceived notions. We must listen to the presentations from developers, attorneys, business owners and their support staff. We must listen to feedback from the neighbors. And then we must enforce the Zoning Regulations of the Town of Stratford.

We are like jurors on a trial. Zoning candidates should not talk about supporting or opposing certain types of development. That type of prejudgment has no place on the Commission.

I am running for the last two years on the term Councilman Scott Farrington-Posner was elected to in 2015. I supported him then and he supports me now. I ask for your support now, as well.
