As the Democratic candidates, we are committed to keeping our town moving forward. We have embraced new people, fresh perspectives, and innovative thinking to make Stratford a better place to live and work.

We will push for economic growth that retains current businesses and attracts new businesses to strengthen our grand list with new ideas, and a strong Economic Development office.

We are committed to responsible funding of education that achieves high standards, and sustains higher property values, without burdening our community with unreasonable cost.

We will pursue quality-of-life opportunities; to preserve and maintain our town’s parks, beaches, coastline, town forest, and historic landmarks.

We believe public safety is a priority that requires sufficient funding to protect life and property without jeopardizing our resources.

• Opposed a 3.85 mill tax increase, and the reduction of services including the Library
• Will confront escalating legal costs, overtime and mis-management.
• Will bring transparency and timely reporting of town finances, and insist on accountability so taxpayers know where their money is going.
• Oppose redundant positions in EMS, and unjustfied salary increases in the administration.
• Offered solutions to problems without political infighting and disrespectful debate. We have articulated and published our positions and information to the public.
• Will press the Mayor’s administration to address Pension reforms long overdue.
• Oppose selling town assets such as Water Pollution Control (WPCA) and Short Beach Golf Course, but will control costs instead. Preserve and Protect Long Beach West for generations.
• Push for a solution to clean up Raymark contaminated properties.
• Complete the "White House" as a museum. Expedite Shakespeare Theater as a cultural entertainment and educational center without cost to the taxpayer.
• Promote Transit-Centered Development. Accelerate the Brownfield Assessment initiative.
• Advocate for the subdivision of Stratford Army Engine Plant property to expedite the return to tax rolls.
